Infrastructure architect — enterprise IT, AI, and the systems underneath
I design and run the infrastructure that enterprises depend on: virtualization platforms, networks, identity, and increasingly the AI systems layered on top of them. This site is where I write it down properly — the reasoning, the configuration, and the failure modes that only show up in production.
Most of what I publish comes out of work I have actually shipped. Where I am uncertain, I say so.

What this site is for
There is no shortage of technical content on the internet, and a great deal of it is thin — a summary of the documentation, a screenshot of a wizard, and a conclusion that the product works as advertised. That is not useful when you are the person responsible for the thing staying up.
What I try to write instead is the reasoning: why one design survives a node failure and another does not, which settings are permanent, what the vendor documentation leaves out, and what actually broke when I got it wrong. Where I have measured something, the numbers are here. Where I am uncertain, I say so.
Everything is free and there is no paywall. Articles are licensed CC BY-NC-SA; code samples are MIT unless stated otherwise. If something here is wrong, the comments are open and corrections are genuinely welcome — several articles are materially better because a reader pushed back.
Working together
I take on a small number of consulting engagements each year — infrastructure design reviews, virtualization and network architecture, migration planning, and AI system design. If that is useful to you, the contact form reaches me directly.
